Primary qualification
- Logistics/administration training (vocational diploma or equivalent) with demonstrable use of a CMMS/ERP (SAP PM, Maximo or AMOS as sector references).
- Dangerous-goods certification for the unit's two supply legs: IMDG (sea) and IATA DGR (helicopter freight).
- OPITO BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS and offshore medical; STCW A-VI/1 per flag.

Specific courses
- Critical-inventory management: min/max, insurance spares and material quarantine
- Manifests, backload and certified-container traceability
- Forklift/pallet truck and basic slinging for internal moves

Indicative experience
Indicative: 2-4 years in an industrial warehouse or project logistics before the first hitch; the offshore step is defined by mastery of the contractor's CMMS and manifest discipline.
Observations
An industrial billet with no dedicated STCW certificate. A disordered warehouse translates directly into drilling non-productive time (NPT). Progression: Storekeeper → fleet Materials Coordinator → shore-base logistics.
What this role does
Manages the unit's technical warehouse: receives, codes and locates everything arriving by supply boat or helicopter, guards critical spares with min-max levels, prepares backload manifests and keeps the maintenance-management system current so machinery and drilling never stop for want of a part findable in minutes.

Key responsibilities
- Management of physical inventory of spare parts, chemicals and supplies.
- Coordination of purchase requests (Purchase Orders) and reception of materials.
- Control of dangerous goods in accordance with IATA/IMDG.
- Operation of the ERP system (SAP/Oracle/Maximo) for traceability.
- Coordination of the arrival of materials via supply ship (PSV) or helicopter.
